Rev. Clarence Brown is the Senior Minister of Annandale United Methodist Church in Annandale, VA. He is known for his strong preaching, expertise in church revitalization, and mentoring of young pastors.
Currently serving as the Minister of Worship at Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock, GA, Michael’s passion is to see others actively engaged and participating in corporate worship no matter the style.
Isaac is the Managing Director of Worship and Creative Arts at Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal, IL and an adjunct professor at Lincoln Christian University. He loves to combine art, liturgy, theology, and spiritual formation in the context of worship to nurture, equip, and grow the Body of Christ for service in the world.
Kiyo & Chiemi Watanabe
Husband and wife organ duo Kiyo and Chiemi Watanabe have appeared at premier events in both the U.S. and abroad, including Japan, Mexico, France, and Germany. Kiyo is an accomplished composer and Chiemi has studied with some of America’s leading organ teachers. They each are currently serving churches in Wichita Falls, TX.
Active as a guest conductor and clinician, Dr. Christopher Aspaas is the Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at TCU. He recently served as the Robert Scholz Endowed Chair in Music and Associate Professor of Choral/Vocal Music at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
Jon Hurty is Professor, Director of Choral Activities and Gassman Family Endowed Chair in Music at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, where he conducts the Handel Oratorio Society. He also directs the adult choir at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA, and is the conductor and artistic director of Quad City Choral Arts.
Young Adult Choir
Mark Miller serves as Associate Professor of Church Music at Drew Theological School and is a Lecturer in the Practice of Sacred Music at Yale University. He is also the Minister of Music of Christ Church in Summit, NJ. Mark’s dream is that the music he composes, performs, teaches and leads will inspire and empower people to create the beloved community.
Senior High Choir
Dr. Shannon Jeffreys is the Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor at Georgia Southern University where she conducts the Southern Chorale, Women’s Chamber Choir, and Fermata the Blue while teaching conducting and literature courses.
Middle High Choir
Currently serving at Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland, PA, Dan spent 26 years at Christ Church United Methodist in Louisville, KY, where the music ministry program grew to include more than 500 active participants. He has led numerous choral festivals and seminars and served as organist for national events.
Intermediate II Handbells
Danny is a solo handbell artist, handbell director, composer, and clinician who plays concerts and conducts clinics, festivals, and handbell classes regularly throughout the southeast and across the nation.
Intermediate I Handbells
Currently serving as the principal conductor of The Atlanta Concert Ringers, Alice is an accomplished solo handbell ringer as well as a highly-respected choral and instrumental conductor in both church music and professional performance settings.
Internationally known in the field of handbell composition, Karen is a distinguished organist, pianist, and composer. Sought after as a handbell conductor/clinician for workshops and festivals throughout the US, she now has over 70 bell/choral compositions in print. Before retiring in 2014, she served in music ministry for more than 49 years.
Jim currently serves as Co-Director of Bands at Mauldin Middle School, one of the largest band programs in South Carolina. He leads the Concert Orchestra of Carolina Youth Symphony and is sought after as a clinician and speaker.
A graphic designer and calligrapher, Wendy is currently involved in worship arts, choir, lay speaking and teaching adult bible study at FUMC in Palmetto, FL. She enjoys combining many media to satisfy whatever the visual concept requires. Her specialty is in fine art printmaking.
Stella is the Founding Director (since 1977) of Alleluia Dance Theater in California and has ministered through her worship dance teaching across the United States, Canada and Scotland.
An international performing artist, Emmalyn is Vice President and dancer for the Alleluia Dance Theater; and director of Movin’ With the Spirit Ensemble. She is an accomplished musician, pianist, composer, singer, dancer, African drummer, percussionist, and teacher.
Theatre in Worship
David leads the International Drama Ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. He has won numerous national awards for acting, directing and technical theatre over his 27-year career in drama and has toured extensively with numerous gospel musical productions.
Older Elementary Choir
Sandy is the founder of the Young Voices of the Carolinas (YVOTC) community children’s choir. She is also the choral music educator at Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy, a charter school for highly gifted learners, and Director of Children’s Choirs at St. John’s Baptist Church, both in Charlotte.
Leanna serves as Music Assistant at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church in Johnson City, TN, including 10 years leading children’s music ministries. She has taught elementary music in the Johnson City school system for 30 years and directs a 36-member percussion ensemble made up of 3rd and 4th grade students.
Younger Elementary Choir
“Ms. Terrie” is the Associate Director of Music and Arts at Highland Park UMC in Dallas, TX. She coordinates the NewSong Children’s Choirs and Acolytes, is the Director of Handbells, and assists with all choirs. She also is the Conductor of the one of the advanced choruses for Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas.
